Christmas Traditions

With Olivia a year older from last year at Christmas time, it's a perfect opportunity to explore new Christmas traditions. Last weekend we went to the Macy's 8th Floor Display. The theme was "A Day in the Life of an Elf". The display was super cute and certainly entertaining for Olivia. We went to the Holidazzle that night also. It was very cold, so we disregarded fashion, and just went for warmth. Olivia did very well, munching on popcorn while we waited. Her favorite by far was Santa at the end.

Another tradition we have been keeping up is making Christmas goodies with four generation; my grandma, mom, sister, Olivia and I gathered yesterday to make moca bars, "dog biscuits", and other goodies. I didn't think Olivia would participate much, but she did do a good job of sprinkling nuts when we needed her to.

When we were getting ready to leave my grandma passed out for a bit. It was a very scary time as the ambulance came and she was rushed to the hospital. Doctors initially thought it was a heart issue, but now think it may have been dehidration. While she is still in the hospital now, and waiting for answers, it seems like she will be okay. I'm so happy it happened while we were there for her.
