I had an idea for an Earth Day tradition to do with Olivia; to have her plant her own flowers and then help care for them over the summer. Well, she was all about digging in the dirt on Earth Day, but wanted nothing to do with helping me plant flowers. (Such a toddler personality she has now!) So, I waited till her mood changed. One nice spring day recently we got her flowers planted. She did a good job of helping to dig the holes, push the dirt around it, press the dirt down lightly, and watering them. Hopefully her helpfulness with this project continues!
