We continue to be so amazed at Olivia's vocabulary and ability to put complex sentences together. Here are a few examples of things she says lately that crack us up:
Olivia: Knock knock
Mom: Who's there?
Olivia: Boo hoo!
Mom: Boo hoo who?
Olivia: Don't cry! It's just a joke!
In an effort to teach Olivia that it's not polite to stare at people, we think she now usnderstands because she'll tell us:
"It's not polite to stare at people. It's okay to stare at babies and trucks, but not people."
(No idea where she came up with the part about trucks and babies by the way.)
At meal time we sit down to pray, mentioning that is't important to say thank you to God for the food. She has asked us "Where is God?" Kind of a tough question to explain to a 3 year old, so we have mentioned that you can't see God, but God's everywhere. We think she must think that means he's really tiny; so little that we can't actually see him. She'll point to a spot in the house and say "I see him! There he is! He's little!" It makes us smile when she pretends to pick him up and set him next to her plate, or hold him in her hand.
