With being in the middle of moving, I was worried that Christmas would be kind of skipped over this year. Maybe my worry pushed me to make sure that wouldn't happen. We got in all of those special traditions we look forward to... Cookie baking (on a few occasions!), driving to look at lights (even if it just meant taking a detour on the way home from school/daycare), shopping for and wrapping gifts, seeing the Macy's display, the Parade of Lights in New Prague, visiting Santa, decorating the house (although we had to take down some decorations early to get the house packed up.). We were even in our house for Christmas morning to have our traditional monkey bread for breakfast, and open up stockings. It did take some extra planning, but I'm so glad it all came together for one last celebration in our home.
I forgot my camera for the Clark gathering, but it consisted of a lot of amazing food as always, cousin play time, many generous gifts, a few games of dice, teaching Mary how to use her new iPad, and a super adorable play of the Christmas Story, put on by Olivia and Henry.
