Sakatah Lake State Park

We took what was supposed to be one of the warmer days of our spring break to explore another state park. We realized Sakatah Lake State Park is only about 30 minutes away from us, and we haven't explored it yet. The weather was in the low 40s- cloudy and cool. It was just comfortable enough for a good two mile hike which proved to be a tougher hike trudging through the snowy parts, but everyone was troopers about it. We had the park to ourselves which was nice. We spotted lots of deer tracks, but no deer. Perhaps the loud six year old boy with us had something to do with that. :)

Highlights included snowball fights (Henry), eating snow cones (Olivia), and smelling everything (Tucker).
