Easter

Easter 2018 began with the Easter Vigil mass Saturday night. At the last minute, Pat opted to stay home because he wasn't feeling well, so it was just the kids and I. Considering it was 2 1/2 hours of church, they did very well. Olivia drew this beautiful picture. Henry drew some of the time too- mostly monster trucks. :) It was a beautiful church service.

Sunday morning was met with kids up bright and early- ready to look for baskets. They found them pretty quick this year. The Easter Bunny even brought some milk bones for Tucker. Then we made bunny pancakes for breakfast. We put together a few desserts to bring to the Clark side. The grasshopper poke cake went well, but our traditional Easter lamb cake got the best of us this year.

We had a tasty meal at Tom and Kari's house. Tom rigged up the 2nd annual Easter shoot out through the back porch door. Henry hit the egg target, and the big kids and adults that shot- hit their bunny targets spot-on. Either sharp shooting runs through the Clark genes, or the target was too easy. It was a close competition this year.

The kids opened their baskets that Grandma put together. Henry got to open birthday gifts too since we combined his 7th birthday celebration into the day. The giant lego set was a big hit. So was the circuit set.

Ethan will be graduating this June. As a graduation gift, Grandma put together a giant scrapbook for him, with pages of Clark family pictures for each year. It's a special keep-sake that a lot a time, energy and love was poured into. We all loved looking through it.

Oh, Henry. I just wanted one nice picture of you and your sister. Don't let the face fool you. It was a wonderful day all around, with lots of sweets, fun family time, and smiles. :)
