For Mother's Day my only request was having a day with my family to explore a State Park. Carley State Park was on our agenda since they are known for their Virginia Bluebells in the spring. We actually drove to Whitewater State Park first by accident since they share an address. Pat found a place called "Eagle Point". It was a windy hill of over 240 wooden steps to the top. The kids did great, braving it out at the higher parts. We spotted plenty of wildflowers along the climb.
A little drive later we found Carley Sate Park. It certainly was at peak time with their Bluebells! They scattered the forest ground everywhere! It was a very beautiful walk along the river!
