K & D Rehearsal

Leading up to Katelyn and Donovan's wedding, we had a few bonus family events. On Thursday the gals got together to make the flower centerpieces for the wedding. We had a good time chatting and using our creative skills to make some beautiful flower centerpieces! In the evening we got together to have our nails done at a salon in Northfield. Then we got dinner at Froggy Bottoms.

Friday was spent putting the reception together. There was a lot of set up and last minute ironing of linens, but we worked well together and got most everything ready.

In the evening we gathered for a run through of the wedding at the garden center. Olivia crafted Katelyn's bouquet from bows from her shower. Donovan did a fantastic job of taking lead and instructing everyone with what to do. The gardens looked beautiful, as mom and dad had been working all summer to make sure they would.

Following the rehearsal, we had dinner at Geisenbrau Brewery. Olivia gave her long awaited gift she had made for Katelyn and Donovan. Donovan gave a funny speech in which he told everyone his ideas for the wedding involved him doing the grilling and everyone bringing their own cup. Katelyn gave a more traditional sweet and sentimental speech. They also gave gifts out to everyone. The guys got engraved beer classes and a pair of socks. The ladies got a personalized cup, earrings, and a wall hanging with pictures of us with Katelyn, along with a sweet note she wrote to each of us.

It was a great day! It was nice to connect more with the others in their wedding. They are all such wonderful people. I'm glad Katelyn and Donovan have so many terrific people to surround them on their special day.
