Christmas

Christmas with the Clarks was celebrated the weekend before Christmas. We brought hot chocolates over to Mike and Mary's place and sat in their garage while exchanging presents. We wore masks the whole time and our time there was brief. We stopped by Tom and Kari's garage to give them their gifts and visit for a little while.

Tom and Kari sent gifts in the mail for the kids, which they loved!

Christmas Eve, which would normally be spent with the Clarks, was spent with just us. It was nice to have a slow day at home and just enjoy. We made all kinds of yummy treats; monkey bread, hot cocoa, zuppa, and grasshopper shakes. We did a puzzle, played ping pong, and just had fun together.

Christmas Day is normally the day we’d spend with the Sticha side. Instead we had another day with just us. We opened stockings and gifts. The highlight of gift-giving was the Disney trip we’ll take in January of 2022. It’s a long way off, but gives us something to look forward to!

We enjoyed sending and receiving many snaps through the day to stay connected with family. We played more ping pong, did another puzzle, ate more yummy food, watched Hamilton, and went ice fishing.

At a time that felt more comfortable for our family (with being able to quarantine as much as possible prior), we did gather with the Stichas in Brooke and Ryan’s shed. It certainly wasn’t the cozy, relaxed day it normally is, but we could exchange gifts and still had many laughs.
