We were treated to a beautiful spring day, so we headed for the day to Banning State Park. We didn’t realize until we got there that it used to be a sandstone quarry. There were ruins to explore through the trail we hiked. We tried hiking to where we thought a waterfall was, only to find river rapids and no falls. It turns out we didn’t hike far enough. Of course we had to top off the trip with DQ on the way home.
