A nice winter day where it's comfortable enough to shed the heavy coat is the perfect opportunity for family boot hockey. Pat again had cleared off the pond so that we could do that. After an unusually long, bitterly cold stretch of winter, it was a welcome activity. We made snow-kitties, sledded at dangerously fast speeds down the hill, and played boot hockey. Ellie got sleepy and even laid on me for a nice little nap... long enough for my body heat to melt the snow around me and make my bottom-side wet. She's worth it though.
