State Park Adventure

We enjoyed some time camping and exploring the state parks of northwest Minnesota.

Highlights:
  • Renting a camper trailer (so many more comforts than tent camping!)
  • Black bear sighting (very close, from the safety of our vehicle) Henry was sad we didn't capture a picture, so he did a photo shoot with his stuffed bears to remember it.
  • Other wildlife sightings include lots of frogs, turtles, deer, turkey, and a skunk!
  • Learning about the WPA, and seeing some of their work.
  • Beautiful sandy beaches perfect for castles and skipping rocks.
  • We brought Lily with us, and she did so good!
  • Beautiful weather, minus the last day of rain which cut our trip a bit short.
  • Crossing off Crow Wing, Hayes Lake, Zipple Bay, Old Mill, Lake Bronson, and Lake Bemidji off our State Park passport book.
