Brent + Shannon's Wedding

Shannon and Brent's wedding day was pretty perfect! It began with the ladies getting ready at a farmhouse VRBO that the Hammer family rented out. It was a super cute setting. The ladies word maroon silk robes as we snacked on brunch foods and had our hair and makeup done. Photos of just the ladies began there too. Then it was off to Ridges at Sand Creek for a few more photos and nervously waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The ceremony was beautiful. Pastor Steve had lovely words to say, and Brent and Shannon's vows were super sweet. The wind could have carried us away, so us ladies were shivering pretty violently. Otherwise, it was perfect!

A few more family and wedding party photos continued after the ceremony. Then we had a social hour time. Mostly the bridal party spent that time hashing out the details for the grand march. We surprised Brent and Shannon with a re-mix of a scene from "The Office". We weren't quite sure how it would turn out, but we have been told by many people that it was pretty epic. Best of all, Brent and Shannon loved it. Even the fire department crew joined in for the end. I'm glad we made that memory happen!

Dinner was delicious, and the speeches were all fantastic. Between the ceremony and speeches, there were few dry eyes to be found. It's a testament to the amazing couple these two make.

The dance progressed with great fun. The kiddos got into the dancing too, until Ellie crashed in my arms. Donovan got me to do two shots- one of tequila and one of captain morgan. The Sticha guy cousins pulled of the traditional pyramid for this final Sticha wedding. Jake lead the firefighters in a traditional dance. We all had a good laugh at a few certain individuals that were really enjoying themselves. Henry wasn't feeling well at all, all day, but he charged through and was such a trooper until the very end, when we arived home after one in the morning.

A lovely day, beautiful memories, and best of all, the joyful union of Brent and Shannon. We are so happy for them! We couldn't have picked a better partner for Brent, and we are so happy to have Shannon join our family!
