Olivia's First Trip to the Dentist

Olivia had her first trip to the dentist this past week. A few weeks ago Olivia and I went with Pat when he was having a cleaning, so she could see what it was like. This past week we have been reading books about going to the dentist and talking about it a lot. She's always a bit hesitant around new people, and the dentist was no exception. Gina, the hygienist is the nicest person ever! She was so sweet with Olivia, making it a fun experience, and not pushing her too far. The trip this time consisted of taking a "ride" in the chair (on mommy's lap), playing with "Mr. Squirty", and checking out "Mr. Slurpy". Even a bribe of picking out a toy wouldn't get her to open her mouth for Gina. At least not this time...
