Holy cow, was May a busy month! We had two wedding showers, one wedding, two kid birthday parties, Mother's Day, a graduation party, going away party, welcome home party, and a baptism. Not to mention your usual end of the school year field trips, concerts, etc. Phew! Here is our busy May in pictures:
I helped throw a wedding shower for my co-worker and dear friend, Jenny. Since Olivia spends so much time at school with me, Olivia has gotten to know her well too, so was also at the shower. Boy did she feel special being the only student there. She rushed to Jenny's side when she started opening gifts and was there to help. (Which really was a help since Jenny was just in a car accident and couldn't move too well.) My décor contributions were this chalk sign, and burlap bunting. (Not so easy to sew btw.) I also arranged the group gift from the staff, which I think Jenny really loved.

Evenings of playing outdoors is always a favorite. Especially watching the kids from a distance. You can hear their imaginations and teamwork. Here they rolled these logs up the hill to make a crib for Olivia's baby.

Mother's Day! We brought cinnamon rolls to my mom working at the Garden Center, went to church, then bought flowers and planted them at home. In the evening we went to the pool to do the spring cleaning with the family and relaxed with a pizza dinner.

A baptism celebration in St. Cloud was very special as we got to attend the Newman Center for mass, which hasn't happened much since we got married there. It always brings back a flood of wonderful memories! Between the mass and reception we took the kids to the Munsinger/Clemens Gardens along the Mississippi. Although the flowers were just starting to bloom, it was very beautiful!

We ended May with a trip to the cabin. It was filled with more work than normal since we were opening it up for the summer and getting it ready for some groups renting it. Still we found time for fun with canoe rides (both in and out of the water), playing in the sandbox, reading, bean-bags, fishing, and turtle catching.
Well, that wasn't even half of it, but at least bits and pieces I brought my big-girl camera to! It sure was a busy month, but filled with many things, and lots of memory making. Now that summer is officially here, we are looking forward to even more fun things to do!
