This past May my mom and dad celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. To recognize it they wanted to do a vow renewal. Because of their busy summer schedule, they waited until now to do it. They wrote their own vows, and Katelyn officiated (she even did the on-line certification). They thought of doing a bigger thing with extended family, but due to the last minute planning of it, just our immediate family that was present, and it was perfect.
The girls thought it was pretty romantic, and they got all giggly. Mom incorporated a little tribute to each of us kids, which made us all cry. I wore a bridesmaid dress that they had in the wedding. Then we went to the Horse and Hunt Club for an amazing buffet brunch. It was a perfect way to celebrate their love. I'm so thankful for the example they set for us in their love for each other.
