Mom turned 60 this year. While she would have loved to have a big party, the celebrations needed to look different in this COVID year. My dad organized several smaller gatherings of friends and family at the pool for pizzas through September and October. As a family, we celebrated on her actual birthday with a pontoon ride on Prior Lake. The weather was beautiful! Katelyn and Donovan put together a music play list of tops songs of each persons' birth year. I put together a meat and cheese charcuterie board, and we made a stop at Charlies on Prior for a giant Moscow Mule.
After, we went back to the pool house. We had a meal of sliced roast beef sandwiches and a variety of dishes that everyone brought. Olivia made a beautiful cake too.
