This weekend we celebrated a few extra days off for EM. We didn't travel anywhere farther than my parents' place, which is 10 miles away. I guess you could say we had a stay-cation! It was very nice having more time to spend with Olivia, and get some things done around the house at the same time. Highlights include:
* A successful photo-shoot for our church pictorial, and having the photographer ask for a "Model Release" for a pic. of Olivia.
* Lots and lots of painting and pictures made by our artist Olivia.
* Exploring around the yard as Olivia collected "treasures" in a bucket. (Rocks, flowers, leaves, acorns, etc.)
* Baking banana bread, cookies, and bars.... and eating them... ALL.
* Visiting my Grandma in her assisted living home.
* Trick or treating at a local grocery store.
* Listening to Olivia play independently while I got some cleaning done.
* Being "farmers" for the weekend, caring for my parents' sheep and chickens while they were away.
* Having Olivia ask to give the baby a kiss and hug. :)
So while we didn't spend a dime, I feel very rich for having such a great break!
