This month dad gave us a bit of a scare. He was in a lot of pain in the side of his abdomen. He also started running a fever. Mom and I brought him into the ER. After many hours of waiting, we learned that his gallbladder burst, he had an infection, and he had a few bloodclots. He was given an antibiotic and was transferred to Methodist Hospital. There he was on the Critical Care floor for a few days, receiving fluids, antibiotics, and blood thinner. He then had a procedure to insert a tube into his gallbladder to drain the fluids. After the procedure he started to feel much better. He was released from the hospital today. It's also our wedding anniversary, so it was a nice way to celebrate.
