2023 Scott County Fair Memories:
- The kids each brought jam that they made themselves for the first time this year. They did each get a red ribbon. The judge was pretty critical about them adapting the recipe with using less sugar.
- Olivia brought two pieces of religious artwork. One received a court of honor.
- Olivia had to make a scrambled rush to finish her dress before judging (It took place a week earlier than we were expecting.) She did it and got a grand champion ribbon on her pants which she'll bring to the county fair.
- We worked in the food stand on one of the hottest nights of the year. I was lucky enough to be assigned the fry cook, so it was extra steamy. Despite the heat, we still enjoyed ourselves with super nice people to work with.
- Henry put together a project about the prairie dad put in around our house. It was good for dad to share his knowledge with Henry.
