1 Week Old

Today Henry is one week old. It's been an amazing week. Our first night home was quite rocky, with Pat and I only getting a few hours of sleep each, and a few tears being shed on my part. At moments like those it feels like that is how life will be forever... never getting any sleep. Fortunately it has gradually gotten better each night. We took Henry on his first outing on Friday to the chiropractor. It was interesting to watch and listen to the doctor (friend of the family and cousin to my dad) as he adjusted Henry. Just by feeling him he was able to know that it was a fast delivery. The adjustment seemed to really help, so along with us adjusting to a newborn again, Henry is sleeping better and that means we are too (a little).

Other outings this past week included a trip to the library and grocery store, Easter church services, and two Easter gatherings. We've also had multiple visitors stop in through the week. After we get through these next few rainy days, we look forward to more outings to enjoy the nice weather and spending time together!

He's such a doll! I cried the first night home too. I blame it on the hormones and lack of sleep! :-)
