Filling the Bucket

We've had a busy summer, filling our bucket with all of those summer fun ideas we brainstormed earlier.

 

Kite flying:  We took the kids to a park for a picnic and kite flying.  The weather was perfect, and the kite took off perfectly!

Milkapalooza: A local dairy farm hosted their annual Milkapalooza.  This year the highlights for us included sampling all the tasty dairy products they make, and visiting the cows in the field.  Of course Henry was in love with all things tractor.  We were excited to be allowed into the area of the field where the cows were grazing.  We were able to get quite close to them!

Popsicles:  I tried a new popsicle recipe that includes vanilla yogurt and blueberries.  They were a hit, and that made me particularly happy since they are also so healthy!

Beach:  The kids and I headed to Cedar Lake Farms for some beach time.  The weather was beautiful, and we had the beach to ourselves for a bit.  Henry simply loved throwing his truck in the water and having me retrieve it for him.  Olivia kept busy hauling water, digging holes, and burying herself in the sand.

Continuing to fill our bucket, making those special summer memories.
