Refreshed

Tomorrow we'll be getting back into the routine of work and school.  It's bittersweet as always.  Routine is good and it will be nice to see our friends again, but it's also sad knowing that our bonus time together is coming to a close.  If feel prepared to had back.  Not that I would argue with just one more day, but since I have to, I'm ready.  House is clean, laundry done, groceries stocked, meals planned (and even some are made!), and correcting is caught up on.  That's a good feeling.

Our break this year was spent differently than in the past.  Pat was working a bit more than normal, so the kids and I laid low.  I was tempted to go fun places, but what we have available to us locally is limiting.  Plus, Henry is still taking two naps a day (yeah!), but that makes it more challenging to head out for day adventures (boo!).  So, we made the most of it and really enjoyed some relaxing time at home.  Lots of time to...

Draw, color, paint, and draw some more...
Make more Christmas goodies...
And sometimes, both at the same time!
Explore their new toys from Christmas...
Sleep in... (Yes, they did this well most days!)
Take a trip to the library and bakery...

Spend time with visitors like Aunt Katelyn and our friend Ben...
Watch movies, or for Pat and I, NCIS in the evening...
Try out our new iPad...

Daddy finding an app even Henry will enjoy.

Work in the garage (Pat is working on mudding, painting, and organizing)...
Craft and create...
Look at Christmas lights...

Clean and organize the house...
Get caught up on correcting...
Spend time together...

Henry LOVES to take pictures too!
My cute lil monkey.
Olivia had a blast at a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's house with her cousins.  When dropping her off they all insisted that Henry stay there a while so Pat and I could enjoy some date time.  It was such a treat!  We didn't do anything special (a little shopping and dinner), but it was nice to spend time together.

We wrapped up our break with a little fun having our friends, the Olsons, over for NYE... sort of.  Pat was working, so Dave, Bethany and the girls came for pizza, chocolate fondue, a movie, and play time.  They were gone and the kids were in bed by 8, so it wasn't too crazy of a party!  Still nice to spend some time together though.
The girls had fun taking pictures with Abby's new camera.
Buddies...  Yes, Olivia is pregnant... with triplets.  :)
