Wee little ones are growing...

Opportunities to hang out with groups of our college friends just don't happen frequently enough.  I'm always so happy to see them, and wish each time that we didn't live so far apart.  Especially now that many of us have children, it just makes getting together all the more fun.  That's why, even though Pat stayed home sick, the kids and I still headed out to Albertville for a poker night with this SCSU group. 



I was reminded of two of our other poker nights.  The one in the winter of 2011, when it was quite a fun, but frightful night due to an ice storm that hit prior to us driving home, making an hour and 15 minute drive a four hour very scary drive.  Also, the last poker night, when these wee little ones were even littler. 

The kids had a ball!  Swinging, sliding, playing in the sand, (on this day in MARCH) playing with the babies, watching a movie, and best of all... bonding.  I loved seeing my little lady warm up so quickly to my friends' kids.  Working together in res. life in college, this group of friends often talked about that when we got older we'd all live in the same community, our kids would play together, and of course marry each other... 

Well, we don't want to rush them growing up or anything, but there may be a budding romance between Olivia and Carter (2nd from the left).  Leading up to this event he was "calling" Olivia on his mom's old cell phone... Just say'in.
