A week in review...

We have had quite a busy and FUN week! People ask if I'm returning to work in the fall, and while the answer is yes, with weeks like this, in many ways it's going to be tough to make the transition back to working again. Oh well... We sill have a lot of summer left!

Monday: Popsicles! I got this toddler cook book for Christmas a few years ago, and we used it for the first time to make homemade popsicles! We used it again Tuesday night to make a new family favorite meal of burritos.

1 can crushed pineapple in natural juices
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup coconut mike (but we added a bit more)

Blend and put in popsicle molds. We saved some to enjoy with our friends today!

Tuesday: ECFE with Henry, and enjoying a beautiful day outside! My goal is to visit each of New Prague's parks, and we made it to a new one. It's always a nice treat when we have the whole park to ourselves! We also planted some more flowers outside.

Wednesday: ECFE with Olivia, my teaching partner and husband brought us lunch and DQ ice cream cake, and we had a fun evening at the Cedar Lake Farm's Park beach!

Thursday: Library story time, park, and a generous baby shower with Pat's coworkers.

Friday: Play date with two of Olivia's best buds; Abby and Orelia. They beat the heat by playing in the AC, making pet rocks, and having a picnic lunch on the floor complete with the popsicles Olivia and I made earlier this week!

Whew! What an eventful and enjoyable week! And it's Friday! That means more fun ahead! Northfield Art Fair, Teddy Bear Band, swimming, fireworks, parade... I LOVE SUMMER!
